2010-2011 Jaguar Wrestling Coaching Staff

Jim Meyerhoff is in his eleventh year as head wrestling coach at Emerald Ridge. He spent five years as an assistant at Jackson High School in Everett, three years as an assistant at Vashon Island HS and a year as head coach at Cascade JHS in Auburn. Meyerhoff is also the ERHS Girls Golf Coach.
Following graduation from Puyallup HS, Meyerhoff attended Pacific Lutheran University and was an assistant coach with the PLU wrestling program. He currently serves as Director of the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame and is a WSWCA Executive Board Member.
Meyerhoff is a photography and yearbook teacher and has earned his Masters in Educational Technology from City University. He also completed his Administrative Certification through City U. Meyerhoff and his wife Dawn (an elementary teacher in the Franklin Pierce School District) have two children, Angela (graduate of WWU, anthropologist in Reno, NV) and Tyler (sophomore at WSU).
Meyerhoff was chosen as the SPSL South Coach of the Year in 2005 and 2006. In 2009 Meyerhoff was honored as the State Coach of the Year for the girls division. |

Cody Meek graduated from Emerald Ridge in 2002 and was a state alternate at 171 pounds his senior season. He held records for most matches in a season (37) and most varsity decisions (14). In his senior season Meek was voted a Team Captain and Most Improved, and was a member of the 20-win club and a two-time member of the Iron Man Club, never missing a practice or match during his two years as a member of the Jaguar Wrestling team. Cody and his wife Dianna were married in July of 2007 and their first child, Lane, was born in June of 2008.

Craig Fredrikson joined the Jaguar Wrestling staff in 2001 after serving as head coach at Fife, Clover Park and Roosevelt High Schools for the previous eleven years. Fredrikson wrestled at Clover Park HS before competing at the University of Pennsylvania for a year. He then returned back to the Puget Sound area, transferring to the University of Washington while coaching at Roosevelt HS for three years.
In 1993 Fredrikson started his Masters in Teaching Program at the University of Puget Sound, and coached at Clover Park HS for six years. In 1999, He moved to Fife HS, teaching math and coaching the Trojans for two years. In 2001 Fredrikson joined the staff at Emerald Ridge as a mathematics teacher and wrestling coach.
Fredrikson and his wife Cathy (an elementary teacher in the Puyallup School District) have been married since 1993 and have two children; Jacob (ninth grade) and Hannah (sixth grade).
Fredrikson was chosen as the League and Regional Assistant Coach of the Year in 2003, 2005 and 2009. |

Brian Nieblas graduated from Emerald Ridge in 2004 and was a varsity wrestler each of his three years. He was a two-time Iron-man Award winner. He has since earned a degree as an Automotive Technician from Green River, and currently works at Boeing. Nieblas and wife Megan were married in November of 2007 their first child, Riley, in February, 2009. |
