Daniel Smith, Class of 2003
Daniel was a varsity wrestler for three years at Emerald Ridge and was a team captain. He was a leader on and off the mat. Daniel probably holds some national record for the number of overtime matches in the past 3 years.
He was a member of the Cross Country and Bowling teams. He enjoys freestyle wrestling, gambling, motorcycle riding, snowboarding and just hanging out. He is proud of being voted a team captain and for winning the Tahoma Tournament his junior year. His favorite memory is when he pinned Cody Meek and Robert Meray at the same time during his sophomore year.
Smith is in the top-ten in many career categories includin the number of matches wrestled and takedowns.
Daniel attends Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and works at Bank of America. He is also serving as a wrestling official in the Tacoma area. |
