Jason Nieblas , Class of 2002

The utility man of the Jag Wrestlers, Nieblas filled many different roles for our team. When he was needed to step into the varsity lineup, he had that ability and desire. Jason took a leadership role with the Jag Wrestlers, and when the JV squad takes the mat - they know that Jason is their leader. Even when he is wrestling in the varsity lineup that evening, Jason is down on the bench coaching “his team.”

Jason placed second at the JV Qualifier, then turned it up to finish as the fourht place finisher at the League Tournament. He went on to wrestle at the Regional Tournament the next week.

He excelled as a member of the cross country and track teams, and was voted captain of the track team twice. He hopes to return during college to help coach the ER track squad.

He is most proud “of how the team has become so close throughout the year,” and singles out the Jaguar JV Team Tournament Champsionship as one of his favorite memories.

Jason is attending Highline Community College where is a member of the track team.
