February 2-3 SPSL South Tournament @ Rogers

Nine wrestlers qualified for Regionals by placing in the top 5 at League. John Gallagher was a League Champ at 152. Kevin Wills and Erik Halsey placed second. Gabe Weber and Nathan Martinez were third while Daniel Kuhn was foruth. Placing fifth was Joe Cruz, Andy Martinez and Kyler Koppelman. Alternates were Justin Cooper, David Weaver, John Lopez, Ryan Kusche and Jason Iliff.

As a team the Jags placed fourth.

February 3 Girls Sub-Regional @ Bonney Lake

Two girls qualified for Regionals by placing second in their weight classes; Samantha Caldwell and Krysta Perozzo were runners-up. Shay Wilhelm was fourth and is an alternate to Regionals.

February 9-10 Region 3 Tournament @ ERHS

When alternate Ryan Kusche was entered into the tournament, ten Jags participated in Regionals with 5 qualifying for state. John Gallgher became our sixth Regional Champion. Kevin Wills, Kyler Koppelman and Erik Halsey placed second. Gabe Weber was third. Kusche qualified as an atlernate to state by placing fifth.

In the team race, the Jags were fifth place out of 19 teams.

February 10
Girls Region 2 Tournament @ Tumwater

Alternate Shay Wilhelm was entered in to the tournament when anothe qualifier did not make weight. The girls wrestled well with Krysta Perozzo getting close to qualifying for state as she lost int he consolation semi-finals.

Feb 16-17 State Tournament @ Tacoma Dome

Five Jags competed at state and three placed in the top eight. John Gallagher was our top finisher at 4th in the 152 pound weight class. Erik Halsey was 6th at 189 and Kevin Wills placed 8th at 145. Gabe Weber and Kyler Koppelman also competed at state. We placed 24th as a team.
