SPSL JV Tournament @ Jefferson |
All eleven Jaguars advanced through the JV Qualifier, and Kevin Wicklund (160) won his weight class. Six Jags finished as runners-up: Marcus Showalter (130), Daniel Kuhn (135), Geoff Nelson (140), John Lopez (152), Ryan Kusche (171), and Dustin Snyder (189). Also advancing to the League Tournament were Jake Zanoni (3rd, 145), Bryce Kitchens (4th, 119), Troy Folk (4th, 125), and Alex Flori (4th, 215). As a team ER finished second behind Rogers.
In the SPSL North-South Civil War Tournament, the Jaguars finished as the top South Division school and placed six wrestlers. Jonathan Snyder repeated as champion at 171 pounds beating teammate Kyler Koppelman in the finals. Zack Wheeler was 2nd at 135 pounds while
Kyle Snyder finished 3rd at 140. The award stand also included a pair of fifth place finishes from
Brayden Goodier at 145 and
Jason Iliff at 160.
