Four Jaguars captured SPSL South League Titles and eight advanced to the Regional Tournament. In the team race we finished second (our highest finish ever) only 11 points behind Rogers.

February 12 Regional Tournament at Puyallup HS

REGIONAL CHAMPIONS

Eight entered the tournament, and eight advanced to state. Emerald Ridge had six wrestlers in the finals including three champions, and two third place finishes. Sophomores Julio Rodriguez and Aaron Brown along with senior Brynsen Brown won regional titles. Nick Webster, Kevin Wills and Keith Schlecht finished in second place, and Fernando Rodriguez and John Gallagher placed third.

The Jaguars scored 154.5 points to win our first Regional Tournament Championship, outscoring district rival Rogers by fifteen points. Full results can be found at SPSLWrestling.com

February 18-19 State Tournament at Tacoma Dome

6th Place Team Finish

Emerald Ridge finished 6th out of 75 teams at the State Wrestling Tournament held in the Tacoma Dome. Three Jags placed this year as senior Brynsen Brown claimed his second state medal placing third, sophomore Aaron Brown placed fourth, and junior Keith Schlecht placed fifth. Eight Jaguars competed at state.
