Wrestlers honored at Awards Banquet

The Jaguar Wrestlers celebrated their season with the annual awards banquet held March 8 at ERHS. Awards and Records

Sixth Place Team Finish at 2005 State

Emerald Ridge scored 55 points to finish tied for sixth place in the 4A State Tournament. Brynsen Brown, Aaron Brown and Keith Schlecht earned state medals. More info.

Regional Champs - Eight to State

Emerald Ridge scored 154.5 points to win the Regional Championship and advanced eight wrestlers to state, inlcuding three champions, three runners-up, and two third place finishes. More info.

Four Jaguars win League Titles

Julio Rodriguez won the school's first wrestling league title and was followed by Keith Schlecht, Aaron Brown and Brynsen Brown. Nick Webster and Kevin Wills finished second wrestling good matches in the finals. John Gallagher placed third and Fernando Rodriguez was fourth. The top four advance to the Regional Tournament at Puyallup HS next weekend. Jordon Smith and TJ Smith both placed fifth and are alternates for the tournament while Jade Anderson finished in sixth place. The Jaguars scored a team record 242 points finishing 11 points behind Rogers. The ER Coaches were also honored with awards as Coach Meyerhoff was selected as the SPSL Coach of the Year and Coach Fredrikson was selected as SPSL Assistant Coach of the Year.

Jaguars 9-0 in League, Undefeated South Division League Champions

The Jaguar wrestlers finished the dual meet season undefeated at 9-0 in league and 12-0 overall, a first for any boys sport at ER and only the third league championship in all sports. The Jags finished the season with a 39-34 victory over cross-town rival Puyallup High School. More info
