ER 34 - Curtis 24

Varsity Dual record: 6-4, 4-1 in league.

The Jags travelled to University Place and defeated the Curtis Vikings 34-24 in a competitive match. Josh Howard and Kendall Eisenbacher sealed the victory with pins at 215 and 275. Sean Forbes started the match with a pin, and other Jag winners included James Castleton, Daniel Smith, Cody Meek, Louis Bernardo and Ryan Halbert. During the JV matches, Eric Sawin, Tomas Armenta and Garrod Forbes each won their matches by fall.

Both teams were coming off big victories from the night before with the Jags beating Curtis (see above) and Jefferson beating Rogers 33-32. Emerald Ridge started fast winning 5 of the first six, and six matches overall by pin. Jag wrestlers were 9-5 on varsity and 8-3 on JV for a 17-8 night.

Inaugural Jaguar Invitational Tournament

In our first varsity tournament held at ERHS, the Jags finished second in the nine team field, behind district rival Rogers - two teams that will face each other in a huge match this coming week! Sean Forbes and Kendall Eisenacher won their weight classes, while James Castleton, Mark Bentley and Cody Meek were runner-ups.

Team Scores: Rogers 219, Emerald Ridge 176.5, Hazen 148, Kelso 137, Lake Washington 120, Wilson 110, Lincoln 102.5, Jackson 69, Stadium 37.
